Niall was appointed as a Deputy Clerk of the Privy Council by The King in March 2024.
He is responsible for all matters concerning higher education, engineering, science and technology, construction industry, environment management institutions, local government and departmental records management.
As Deputy Clerk of the Council, Niall is responsible for covering the duties of the Clerk of the Council in his absence, when requested to do so.
